Stevns is a sweet sparkling Cherry wine. Stevns is made from hand-sorted Danish cherries of the variety Stevnsberries. The Danish cherries have optimal conditions in the Nordic climate, where the temperature differences between the cool nights and the long bright days give a long ripening time, which develops fantastic aroma and a completely unique acid profile.
The cherries are mashed and fermented at low temperature along with the skins to give the flavorful wine. Before fermenting the blackcurrant wine a second time in a bottle, it is blended with our apple wine to create the perfect balance between aroma and acidity. Before the wine is disgusted, it has been bottled for a minimum of 18 months. Finally, dosage is added, which makes Stevns a sparkling dessert wine.
Stevns is served cold for desserts such as chocolate cake, wreath cake, risalamande, confectionery and cheese.
